Community Match Day Volunteer

The role of Glasgow Warriors Community Match Day Volunteer is best suited to those who want to gain valuable work experience in a professional sporting environment.

You will contribute to the delivery of a Glasgow Warriors match day event by assisting the delivery of community match day activity under the supervision of the Glasgow Warriors Game On Project Development Officer and Community Coach.

The role will include match day preparation, setting up and managing inflatables, delivering kid zone activity, and assisting the delivery of match day community matches and festivals.

Applicants should be available to work over the rugby season at Scotstoun Stadium, home of Glasgow Warriors. Glasgow Warriors have approximately 15 home fixtures scheduled per season where the match may be on a Friday evening, or during the day or evening on a Saturday or Sunday.

You must:

  • A desire for work in rugby, sport or events
  • A genuine interest in and an understanding of sport and rugby

We'd like you to have:

  • Experience of event management / contributing to the delivery of a sporting event
  • Experience of rugby coaching / refereeing
  • Level 1 UKCC Rugby Coaching Qualification
  • Annual RugbyReady Practical course
  • IRB Passport on-line qualifications
