Jim Greenwood was born in Edinburgh and brought up in the Borders, attending Berwick Grammar School and Berwickshire High School.

Jim has been involved at Berwick RFC since it was reformed in 1968. Playing their first match and continuing to play for the club through to 1984. He has held a variety of administrative positions within the club, was Club Secretary for some thirty years and has also served two terms as President - the first between 1988 and 1990 and again between 2002 and 2005.

Jim was also the first representative of the Berwick Club to be elected Border League President in 2004-2005.

A Chartered Accountant by profession he qualified in 1973 and is now senior partner in the practice which he founded in 1980 in the town of Berwick.

Jim was elected to the Scottish Rugby Board in 2010.
