Information: Alan Lawson was appointed as Vice President of the Scottish Rugby Union at the 2011 AGM. During a distinguished playing career he gained 15 Scotland caps between 1972 and 1980. Allan had a wide ranging business career including as Chief Executive of Stoddart International plc and Chief Operating Officer at Lorreto School before retiring in 2010. Allan continues to work closely with the Bill McLaren Foundation, the aims of which are predominantly to develop and support the sport of rugby union and its values & encourage and provide sporting opportunities for young people Married to Linda, Alan has three sons (including current Scotland cap Rory) and currently lives in Dollar.
