Scottish Rugby today announced that Finance and Business Operations Director Eamon Hegarty is leaving the organisation with immediate effect. Commenting on his departure, a spokesman for Scottish Rugby noted: “Eamon has provided excellent financial stability to the Union, and has assisted in transforming Scottish Rugby in the past six years. He has achieved a great deal during his time and we are grateful for all his efforts. “He leaves behind a solid financial platform with reduced debt, from which the next phase of developing the game in Scotland can be launched.” Following Hegarty’s departure, the Union’s finances will temporarily be overseen by current Financial Controller Andrew Healy, who will report directly to recently appointed Chief Executive Mark Dodson. No further comment will be made by Scottish Rugby at this stage. |
