The Borders Under 16 Pathway Programme is designed to bridge the gap between Club and District Rugby. Following nominations from Clubs and Schools, players attend the Borders Sports School , and two squads, a West Under 16’s (drawn from Gala, Melrose , Peebles and Selkirk) and an East Under 16 (Berwick, Duns, Earlston, Hawick, Jed, Kelso and Langholm) are selected to play matches in August. Drafting of players between East and West is also considered where necessary to ensure the best players in the District are given an opportunity to play in the Pathway Programme.
