Bashed and bruised, but Edinburgh uni post another win on their tour of Japan Edinburgh University Rugby Football Club (EURFC) 1st XV Development Squad departed on 1 June for an 18 day tour of Japan. So far, of the five matches organised by the EURFC committee and their Sponsors, Rhino Rugby, the side have won three and lost one. They are playing against some of the top university sides in Japan, including their latest hard fought win against Tokyo University. The tour results so far have gone mostly Edinburgh's way and read like this: Osaka Taidei University 33-20 Edinburgh University Kyoto University 21-52 Edinburgh University Kobe Regatta Club 7 - 61 Edinburgh University Tokyo University 22-49 Edinburgh University Edinburgh and Scotland Universities winger John Geddie reported after the match against Tokyo that it had been an abrasive and physical game and that the morning after the game he was still feeling the bumps and bruises of the day before, as well as dehydrated from his exertions. The team are now looking forward to their last game of the tour against the National Defence Academy on June 17.
