Edinburgh U16   46
Caledonia  U16   7

Edinburgh displayed the clinical finishing that had deserted them in earlier District Championship encounters against Borders Reivers and Glasgow when they saw off Caledonia in the final round of matches at Dunbar, running in seven tries in the process.

Edinburgh were off to a flying start when they created space for John Rae to go over in the right corner after two minutes. They were also quick to take advantage of any errors or hesitancy by the Caledonia side as flanker Glen Sutton crossed twice and Sam Hidalgo-Clyne reacted quickest to a bouncing ball behind the Caledonia linefto another try. With Alex Hagart adding three conversions and a penalty Edinburgh were 29-0 ahead after twenty minutes.

Caledonia did gain some momentum in the later stages of the first and gave themselves some hope, with the elements in their favour in the second half, when Chris Simpson crossed just before the break and Keith Buchan added the conversion.

There was to be no let up for Caledonia in the second half though as Edinburgh added further tries with Sutton collecting his hat-trick and Ryan Hook and Jamie Farndale crossing as Edinburgh continued to dominate. Hagart added one further conversion as Edinburgh ran out 46-7 winners.
