Scotland supporters are being urged to buy tickets for next month’s Murrayfield internationals through their local rugby club. Supporters who buy tickets for the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests through this route will ensure that a quarter of the price of each ticket is retained by the club.
CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE INFORMATION AND APPLICATION PACK SRU President Jim Stevenson today hailed the initiative. “It’s massively important for the Scotland team at the start of Andy Robinson’s tenure as national coach that we have big crowds at Murrayfield. “International matches generate the majority of Scottish Rugby’s revenue. That money funds the game throughout the country at all levels. “Historically we have offered club commission on ticket sales but I think it’s wonderful that we can give 25% back from each ticket sold via a club during the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests to that club. “That could mean the difference to a club between, for example, providing transport to a mini-rugby tournament or having to decline. “If the club can sell enough tickets to fill an average-sized bus to come to one of our internationals next month, then the commission will amount to enough cash to cover the cost of that private transport to and from Murrayfield Stadium from as far as Inverness in the north.” For more information on the new commission rates and separate application forms for each event telephone 0131 346 5160 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Club commission of 25% will operate on all tickets sold through clubs for the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests at Murrayfield. The Tests are as follows: Saturday 21 November: Scotland v Australia, kick-off 5.15pm Saturday 28 November: Scotland v Argentina, kick-off 2.30pm
How else can tickets be bought for the Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests? Information on the club commission scheme is included in a marketing toolkit that has been sent to clubs. The toolkit can be adapted and used to inform players, members and volunteers about the benefits of buying tickets through their club. |
