On the same day as the Yorkshire game a new initiative for the Exiles took place at Swindon Supermarine RFC. A festival involving the Exiles and two county U17 squads provided an additional opportunity for players involved in the three Regional development groups in the South and West of England to progress their rugby. Only coming together on the day of the event, the Exiles had a short opportunity to rehearse and remember the focus areas, and get organized! However the boys really took to the challenge and overcame the big Berkshire side by moving the ball well and offloading in contact. Unfortunately following the break and one or two injuries the boys could not repeat the quality of their first performance against a Dorset team eager to make up for their early loss against Berks. A good day all round though with notable performances from Matthews (hooker), Galbraith Lowe (flanker), Edgeley (flanker) and MacKenzie Lawrie (Fly half).
