Club Coach Coordinator scheme – Nomination Information

The Club Coach Coordinator scheme (CCC) has been piloted within Tayside & Fife since January 2010, with great success. The CCC scheme offers opportunity for clubs to nominate a volunteer to assist Scottish Rugby with the development of coaches at all age groups, from Senior to Mini. CCC Nominations must be authenticated by the club secretary or equivalent, in the form of a signature or email to your Coach Development Officer (contact details below).

Your club may already have a volunteer undertaking this role which is excellent, so please nominate them. For clubs with development officers, please liaise with them prior to deciding to nominate a volunteer.

Nominated CCC’s will be invited to attend a welcome evening in their area prior to the off-season. Details of this will be finalised once nominations are received.

CCC’s will receive a Welcome Pack which will aid their club activities. In addition CCC’s with a coaching background (not essential for the role) will be given the opportunity to undertake Coach Developer training – a recognised coach development award delivered by Scottish Rugby’s Coach Development Officers. In return, CCC’s will be asked to fulfil the following roles:
1. To be a central point of contact for all coach education related matters in their club;
2. To promote Scottish Rugby coaching courses within their club via posters and newsletters;
3. To develop a club coach database.

If you would like to nominate a volunteer for this scheme, please complete the attached form and send to your local Coach Development Officer:
