Tonight is the big night for the volunteers and sponsors in the Eastgate Clubrooms. There will be a break in the programme at about 9 PM tonight the Pink Sevens shirts as worn during last season’s Kings of the Sevens Circuit will be auctioned. This will close the players’ year of fund raising for Breast Cancer.
The auction is open to all as the initiative introduced and run by the players comes to an end, and they try to maximise the benefit their support to aid this important charity brings.
Even if you cannot make it to the event, you can ask any player, committee or bar staff to bid on your behalf to try and win one or more of these unique and sought after collectibles.
Breast Cancer Pink 7s shirts will be auctioned about 9 PM

The Cup fixtures were released during the week, and Peebles have been drawn in a pool that includes 2 Premier 1 sides. After an away game at Bridgehaugh, there are 2 games at the Gytes against Dalziel and Boroughmuir, the latter of which may pitch the brothers Warnock against their cousin, now at the Meggatland club.

Still to be confirmed is a pre-season game on Thursday 5th August against Haddington; whilst a squad will take part in the Lasswade 15s tournament on Saturday 2 days later as the season looks to get underway a whole month earlier than the old opening date of 1st September. Was there moves for summer rugby and is this it creeping up on us?
