The Glasgow U16 program continued in superb weather for fast running rugby at Catha Queens Park in the South side of Glasgow on Sunday 15th August. The five area teams: Chiefs, Warriors, Tigers, Hurricanes and Giants participated in the pathway identification festival with some very closely contested matches. A good crowd of parents were treated to some quality running rugby where the off loading and continuity play was of the highest standard. The excellent standard of play is a testament to the hard work put in by the coaches and managers of all the teams over the summer months. This stage of the program will reach a climax next week at GHA where the teams will once again play round robin matches against each other at a selection festival. Around 35 players will be selected from this stage to advance to the Glasgow U16 coaching camps in October. Thanks to Cartha Queens Park Rugby Club for hosting the festival, all the coaches and managers, our resident physiotherapist, referees and of course the players for their hard work. Let's hope the weather next week is as good as Sunday See you at GHA next Sunday 22nd August.
