Having finished off last season in style by winning the Glasgow East
Festival in June while P6s, the P7s assisted by a couple of members
of the P6 team travelled to the Lanark Rugby Club Festival on Sunday
22 August with high hopes. On a sunny afternoon at Lanark they enjoyed
games against Lanark, Cambuslang and Dalziel and emerged unbeaten. The
 teams performance was also recognised when Uddingston's Owen
Fitzpatrick, picked up a player of the festival award for his efforts
which included 10 tries. Uddingston P7 coach Martin Quinn paid credit
to the team,
"The boys only resumed training yesterday (Saturday 21 August) and
worked really hard. This paid off today with their performance drawing
very favourable comment from Lanark and other coaches."

Mini Rugby for boys and girls in Primaries 3 through to 7, takes place
from 1000hrs until 1200hrs on Saturday mornings at the Uddingston
Cricket and Sports Club, Castle Avenue, Uddingston. G71 7HJ.
New players will be made very welcome and can come along and try rugby
at NO initial cost to parents.
