Highland V Central Match Report Sunday 22nd August saw the Central Crusaders take on the Highlands & Islands pathway squad. With both teams having lost their opening games, the players were anxious to show the skills they had been practicing in training. Highlands started the better of the two, showing good understanding of the national themes and working themselves into good attacking positions on the pitch.Centrals defence held out well, but eventually cracked under pressure with Highlands going in for a well worked score. This continued for most of the match as highlands good ball retention was key in their success. Late in the second half Central showed good skill and awareness to score a well worked try involving most of the team. Final score 27 – 5 to Highlands.
