Fife Mavericks v Central CrusadersDuffus Park was the venue for Fife Mavericks Under 16's match against Central Crusaders U16's. The weather fantastic for what was set to be an open running rugby affair. Both teams and sets of coaches did not dissapoint with both teams encouraged to keep the ball alive and go forward at every opportunity. Fife came out the starting blocks the quickest catching Central unaware from the kick off with a quick turnover ball from the catch, Fife powered up the blindside through Cameron Fenton with great leg drive and low body position to present quick ball for the Fife Mavericks to move to George Horne who then put Euan Roger inot space to run hard at the Central Defence and with a 2 v 1 put Connor Simpkins in the whole to score the first try. Central did venture into the Fife half on a few occasions with powerful ball carrying from prop Billy Dineen. Handling errors cost the Central team in the final third where teh Fife Scrum was able to dominate and get quick clean ball for George Horne who controlled the game well from 10. Central always ket going until the final whistle but Fife Mavericks ran out convincing winners in the end.
