Six teams from two ages will go head to head this weekend as they target the National Youth Cup final at the home of Scottish Rugby.

First up, on Saturday (19 February), is the under-18 quarter final between Musselburgh and Kilmarnock at Stoneyhill (kick-off 12 noon), the winner of which will go on to face Selkirk in the penultimate round, with cup holders Stirling County lying in wait in the final.

The keenly contested quarter-final will prove to be a tough game with Musselburgh, featuring several graduates from 08/09 under-16 cup winning side, who will be required to front up against a very physical Ayrshire outfit.

County’s cup holding under-16s are just one game away from joining their Colts at Murrayfield but must first overcome North Berwick at Recreation Park after a narrow (15-14) win over Deeside in the previous round.
