The draw has now been made for the second round of the under-18 and under-16 Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools Cup Plate competition. At this stage the competition remains regional as each school battles it out to become victors in their area before progressing to the national plate finals. In the under-18 competition only three fixtures are certain, with St Columba’s School playing Carrick Academy, Douglas Ewart High School taking on Marr College and Aberdeen Grammar hosting The Gordon Schools. The remaining teams await their fate with a number of round 1 fixtures still to be played. The under-16 draw a particular resonance in the North region as the only two island teams in the competition go head to head. The Orcadians, Kirkwall Grammar School, will host the Nicolson institute from Stornoway. | |
