George Watson’s College and Edinburgh Academy under-18 captains, Ramsay Young and Chris Dean, have welcomed their chance to compete for the 2011/12 Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools Cup on the international pitch at Murrayfield on Saturday (26 November).

The match between the two schools will kick off at 6pm, following the under-16 Cup final between George Watson’s College and Dollar Academy at 4pm.

George Watson’s captain, Young, said: “We’re really excited about playing in the final on Saturday.

“Three years ago a number of the players in this team competed in the under-15 final so it will bring a lot of memories back for us. But there are also a number of new players for whom this is a new experience.

“We can’t wait to get there and take on Edinburgh Academy.”

Edinburgh Academy captain, Dean, added: “It’s always a real privilege to play on our country’s international pitch and the Academy are lucky enough to have reached the final for the third year running.

“The team are all looking forward to this great opportunity. We are feeling the nerves because there will be a huge, noisy crowd supporting both teams.”
