TRINITY AND BOROUGHMUIR WIN EDINBURGH AND MIDLOTHIAN REGIONAL BOWL PDF Print

Trinity Academy and Boroughmuir High School will compete for the under-16 and under-18 Brewin Dolphin national Bowl trophy, in the New Year after winning the Edinburgh and Midlothian under-16 and under-18 regional Bowl respectively.

The teams played on the back pitches at Murrayfield on Friday evening on the lead up to the Edinburgh Rugby v Aironi RaboDirect PRO12 match.

Trinity Academy beat Portobello High School, 19-13 and Boroughmuir High School put 36 points past Lasswade who only managed a try and conversion. The final score was 36-7.

Edinburgh city development officer Ruaridh Pye said: “Both matches were very close until half-time, as both teams wrestled with the strong windy conditions.

“However, all four teams showcased some really good and positive rugby. Well done to Trinity and Boroughmuir for winning their respective trophies.”
