Hawthornden will host a much re-vamped pre-season 15 a side Tournament on Saturday 7th August 2010.  The Tournament itself will take its normal format with teams including Workington, Haddington, Musselburgh, North Berwick, Peebles, Forrester and Hamilton competing for the Lasswade Trophy.  But in addition there will be a feast of entertainment laid on including Pipe Band, Clay Pigeon Shoot, Quad Bikes, Water Dunk, Bucking Bronco, Balloon Race, sidestalls and BBQ. Food includes homebaking and burgers, tea, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol. Following the rugby the traditional and famous Lasswade Pig'n'Pint will be held and will include live bands and disco music throughout the evening.
 
The event starts at 12 noon with the 1st rugby match kicking off at 1pm.
