John Manson

John MansonJohn James Manson was appointed Scotland 7s team manager at the start of season 2011/12 after stints in the same role with Scotland under-18 in 2009 and with Scotland under-20 in the 2011 Junior World Championship in Italy.

Manson earned one cap for Scotland, off the bench against England at Twickenham in 1995 and was a member of the 1995 Rugby World Cup squad. He also has seven caps for Scotland A, where he played loosehead prop.

As well as playing club rugby for Hillfoots, Dundee HSFP, Stirling County and West of Scotland he was signed to two of Scotland’s first professional teams, Caledonia Reds and Glasgow Caledonians.
