Jon Twynham

Born on 9 January 1979 in Sheffield, Jon moved to Aberdeen in 1997 to study Sport and Exercise Science before completing a post-graduate degree in Physiotherapy.
He played rugby for Derbyshire Schools and won the Scottish Universities Championship with Aberdeen University. He also represented Scotland in Surf Lifesaving and has recently competed in the UK Ironman and UK Half Ironman triathlons.
Jon has worked with Scottish Women's rugby for the last five years, starting with the Academy and under-20s teams, and is currently the physiotherapist for the women's senior team and women's 7s. He has previously worked as physiotherapist for Scottish Universities Men's Rugby, Aberdeen Rowing Club and Scottish Touch Team.

At the London 2012 Olympics Jon worked in the Athlete's Village Medical Centre as a physiotherapist for the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympics Games.

He current lives in Edinburgh where he also works at SPACE physiotherapy clinic.
