Ticket Collections

All tickets must be collected by the card holder with the card used to make the booking.  Ticket Centre opening hours are Tuesday to Friday 9:00am to 8:00pm, and from 9:00am on matchday until 5:00pm.    
 
Several thousand tickets will be collected on matchday and queues can be expected. We strongly recommend you collect your tickets no later than two hours prior to kick off.


The ticket sales area in front of the Roseburn Street turnstiles will be open from 9am on match day for cash and credit card sales.

GETTING TO THE GAME

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Park & Ride, Rail, Bus, Taxi and Edinburgh Airport info can be found on the Murrayfield Directions page where a handy transport map, supported by SEStran can also be downloaded.

MURRAYFIELD STADIUM
Murrayfield Stadium is located to the West of Edinburgh City Centre, for further information please see our location map.

TURNSTILES
Turnstiles open at 3pm with access from the North, Roseburn Crescent and Roseburn Street.  A large crowd is expected and it is recommended that supporters arrive at the turnstiles no later than 30 minutes before kick-off to ensure they reach their seats on time.

PARKING
There is no public car parking at Murrayfield Stadium on match days. Parking is provided for disabled supporters on match days (a parking pass is required and should be applied for in advance from the Ticket Centre).

Coach / minibus parking is not available within Murrayfield Stadium and is now directed to parking area along the A8 Corstorphine Road and the A71 Gorgie Road.

All coach / minibus drivers should approach the vicinity from the A8 Corstorphine Road or A71 Calder Road where you will be directed to park by police officers. It is imperative that drivers co-operate and follow instructions and directions to ensure maximum capacity. Coaches / minibuses should not arrive more than three hours before kick-off (2pm for a 5pm kick-off). The first vehicles to arrive will be parked nearest to the Stadium.

  
YOUR MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE

TEAM ARRIVAL
The Scotland team are due to arrive at Murrayfield stadium at approximately 3.30pm on Saturday. We would encourage supporters to welcome the team to Murrayfield by congregating along the road side of the West stand.

REF TALK
Battery operated handsets with earphones which allows you to hear the referee throughout the game, are available from sellers located around the stadium, priced £5.00

CASH FACILITIES
ATM cash machines will be situated behind the East Stand, by the Ticket Centre. These ATMs are independently operated by Cash on the Move. There will be a charge of £1 per transaction.

STADIUM ETIQUETTE
While within the grounds of Murrayfield Stadium Scottish Rugby is keen for all of its supporters to have an enjoyable experience. Therefore we would encourage supporters to be mindful of others while enjoying all that is on offer throughout the day. Scottish Rugby would also like to stress that it does not encourage nor tolerate ‘booing’ of the opposition at any point during the game and ask all fans to refrain from engaging in this activity.

DEPARTURE 
Murrayfield Stadium is situated in a residential area. Scottish Rugby endeavours at all times to ensure that supporters are mindful and respectful of local residents and their property when entering and leaving the ground. Please do not disturb our neighbours. Dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided, before leaving the stadium, and do not remove any drinks from the ground.

FOOD
Food units providing a range of snacks including baguettes, sandwiches, pies, curry, burgers, hot dogs and fish & chips will be available throughout the stadium, open from 3pm.

BARS
Large marquee bars can be found at the North and East of the stadium open at 3pm. On sale will be Guinness, cider, Carling, Caffrey's, mixed spirits and wine in easy-open plastic glasses and a selection of soft drinks.

SHOP
The Scottish Rugby Store, situated in the West Stand, will be open from 2pm. Further marquees selling merchandise are situated behind the North and East Stands, both also open from 3pm.

MATCH PROGRAMME
A 100-page souvenir programme will be available from sellers located around the stadium, priced £5.00

ENTERTAINMENT
Pre match, supporters can enjoy an array of entertainment throughout the stadium including onsite activity from Ford and Carling .

Carling, the official beer of Murrayfield and Scotland Rugby Team, is bringing the Carling Fans Stand to Murrayfield for the EMC Tests. The Carling Fans Stand, set up behind the East Stand is looking for fans to give them their finest celebration pose!

In the stadium supporters will be treated to traditional pipes and drums pre match.

 

HAYMARKET TRAIN STATION

There will be a queuing system in place for approximately 90 minutes after the game. The front door to the station will be closed and customers should access the queue from Haymarket Terrace via the car park.

Customers travelling to Dunblane, Bathgate or Glasgow Queen Street are asked to turn right at the car park entrance and then past Rosebury House (in the centre of the car park) and follow the instructions of ScotRail staff and the British Transport Police. All other customers should enter the car park via Haymarket Terrace. Please stay on the right-hand side of the road to access the station.

Please bear in mind that travel on a specific service cannot be guaranteed and this should be considered when planning your journey. ScotRail has strengthened services where possible and is operating additional services on major routes.

Customer Service staff and British Transport Police will be on hand to assist. Any customer who requires assisted travel, eg, wheelchair users, should report to Customer Service staff at the front door.

TICKET PURCHASE FAQs

Q:  I need to upgrade a concession ticket to a full adult ticket.
A: Please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it with your ticket details and they will be able to assist you. Alternatively if you go to the ticket centre prior to the match you can upgrade your ticket there.

Q: I don’t have a ticket but I know I can probably get one from someone outside the stadium on the day.
A: For the EMC tests Scottish Rugby are trialling match day sales.  Tickets can be purchased via the website, www.scottishrugby.org or the 24hr hotline, 0844 335 3933 until 12 noon on match day.  The ticket sales area in front of the Roseburn Street turnstiles will be open from 9am - 5pm on match day for cash and credit card sales.  Scottish Rugby does not encourage supporters to purchase tickets from anything other than official sources and actively discourages the activities of ticket touts.  Tickets being sold on unofficial web sites may be investigated and those seats will be cancelled.

Q: I want to bring along my young child?
A: This is not a problem, however we would remind you that matches are crowded events with music etc which may not be suitable for very young children. Children aged under two are admitted free of charge provided they sit on the parent’s / guardian’s knee.

Q: Is there a baby changing facility available?
A: Yes. There are changing units in the disabled toilets in the lower west (south) stand area and in the lower west (north) stand area. The doors have the appropriate baby changing signs on them

DISABLED SUPPORTER FAQS

Murrayfield Stadium provides lift and ramped access to all disabled seating areas, conveniently placed separate adapted toilets, 124 dedicated disabled seats, matchday car parking, lift access and hearing loops in hospitality suites and office reception.

Q: I am disabled – can I park at the stadium?

Q: How do I access the disabled terraces (12A / 34A)
A: There are three lifts within the stadium, one in each of the North and South stands and centre of the West stand. Please inform the nearest steward who will provide assistance here, should it be required. Please click here for more details.

Q: Since buying my ticket, my mobility has been affected. Who can I ask for assistance and what happens if I’m physically unable to get to the seat I have a ticket for?
A: We would advise that you contact our Ticket Centre in advance if there has been any change in your circumstances however, if this is not possible, please contact your nearest steward on the day.  We have a dedicated team within the stadium that will look after spectators with such difficulties.

Q: I have difficulty using a turnstile.
A: Please contact a steward at the turnstile area who will happily assist with access through the nearest gate.

MATCHDAY EXPERIENCE FAQS

Please see below for items you can / cannot bring in to the stadium:

A CAMERA
Yes, small amateur cameras are permitted however large professional cameras are not. By small, we mean pocket size digital cameras or SLR cameras with zoom lenses no more powerful than 300mm. Tripods are not permitted.

AN AIR HORN
Yes, however only mechanised air horns (blow through / wind up) are allowed - pressurised containers are not permitted.

A RUCKSACK OR SUITCASE
Small backpacks are permitted however suitcases or larger items will be denied access.  A guide of size is something that will comfortably fit beneath your seat. We assume no responsibility for baggage within the stadium.  Rucksacks or similar will be subject to a search before entry.

JUICE
In line with other major venues, only sealed bottles of water / soft drinks up to 500mls can be brought into the stadium. No cans will be permitted.

FOOD
Small amounts of food for your own use is allowed. Large picnic hampers are not permitted. Should you require to bring food with you, due to a medical or dietary condition, this is clearly acceptable.

A FLASK OF TEA OR COFFEE
Flasks are not permitted. Bags are subject to search on entering the stadium; the contents of any flasks will be tipped out and the containers will have to be left outside the stadium.

Please remember that stewards are here to help you and should you have any problems during the game, please contact your nearest steward in the event of any of the following:

Finding someone sitting in your seat with the same ticket, or if there’s a problem with my seat?

You or one of your party feeling unwell - We have a full medical team on duty for your safety and wellbeing, including first aid, paramedics and doctors.  Please contact your nearest steward, in the first instance.  The First Aid room is located at ground level in the South West corner of the stadium.
