Jim HamiltonHenry PyrgosHamish Watson

There are many routes into International Rugby – follow in the footsteps of Scottish International players Jim Hamilton, Henry Pygros and Hamish Watson who took the pathway of the Scottish Exile Programme.

It’s not just players that live in Scotland that can play rugby for the Scotland team – whether you, your parents or grandparents were born in Scotland then Scottish Exiles could be your route to playing for the Scotland team.

There are two ways to get involved:

  1. register your own details
  2. or be nominated by your club or school coaches

To register or nominate, simply complete the Scottish Exiles registration form and email the form to [email protected] – and someone will respond back to you shortly after.

Performance Pathway for Exiles

The Scottish Rugby Union Exile programme is not a club or purely a representative pathway. It is a player centred initiative designed to provide a development, support and a pathway for Scottish qualified players living outside of Scotland.

The scheme recognises individual playing situations then provides appropriate support and opportunities to progress towards International Age group rugby or beyond!
