Game On aims to help young people aged 16 to 19 who are not currently in employment, education or training to find their way in life, to get into a training programme, find a job or apprenticeship or return to education.
The participants will learn new skills both on and off the field. On the field participants will take part in introductory rugby sessions at both BT Murrayfield and Scotstoun stadiums, home to Scotland, Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors.
Throughout the rugby sessions the core values of Scottish Rugby will form the backbone of the content, aiming to instil the values of Respect, Leadership, Achievement, Engagement and Enjoyment.
They will gain leadership skills, get a sense of achievement and enjoyment. Respect of course is a huge part of rugby for themselves, teammates, opposition and officials. Off the field the core values will still be just as important as the young people work with education providers to complete work place specific qualifications.
