Scottish Rugby is at the forefront of developing its club and school coaches.
Our aim is to ensure that every player, of every age, has the chance to play to their full potential by receiving the best coaching possible from well qualified, enthusiastic coaches who continue to learn and develop their coaching skllls througout their coaching career.
To achieve this, we run a wide range of coaching qualification courses (UKCC endorsed and Strength and Conditioning) and workshops appropriate to the age and stage of the players you coach.
Through our courses, you’ll learn not only what to coach but how to coach it, all appropriate to the age and stage of your players. You will learn from your fellow coaches on the course as well as receive support from our coach educators as they take you through the sylabus.
Our Level 1, 2 and 3 coaching qualificaitons are UKCC endorsed which means they meet UK coaching industry standards and are recognised across England and Wales and are also benchmarked worldwide. They are vocational qualifications awarded by the Scottish Qualifications Authority. We are grateful for the continued financial support from sportscotland which enables us to offer these courses at a subsidised rate to our hard working coaches operating in our clubs and schools. Coaches operating outwith our clubs and schools are unable to access this subsidy.
Our workshops focus on age and stage appopriate content - not only technical and tactical areas - which will help you supplement your coaching knowldege gained from our courses.
