Information for volunteers

We need volunteers to support the Exiles Player Development Programme in a number of different roles. So if you're keen to keep Scottish Rugby strong and to help young players to fulfil their rugby potential why not get involved!

Volunteers needed

Programme Managers / Coordinators

A Programme manager works closely with the Performance Manager to facilitate activity in the local area and help to run events.

Requirements

  • An interest in rugby development for young players!
  • Availability for training sessions and games
  • Disclosure and barring (DBS) check – part of the Child Safeguarding policy

Pathway coaches

A coach would work with a team of people, including a team manager and other coaches, to deliver an appropriate training and development programme for a squad of players or at regionalised sessions.

Requirements

  • Availability for training sessions and games
  • A minimum of UKCC SRU / RFU Level Two coaching certificate or an equivalent qualification awarded prior to the UKCC initiative.
  • An interest in rugby and willingness attend further professional development sessions
  • Disclosure and barring (DBS) check – part of the Child Safeguarding policy
