Refereeing is a fun, exciting, non-contact way to be involved with rugby. Not only will you be at the heart of the action on the pitch, but it’s a great way to keep fit, and make friends with others in the game, both in the UK and other countries.
Whether your aspirations are to referee local mini rugby tournaments or progress to officiating at BT Murrayfield, Scottish Rugby and your local referee society will help you every step of the way. As a referee you will play a pivotal role in widening the participation of rugby in Scotland, and improving the availability of quality referees at all levels of the game.
If you are interested in becoming a referee, passing a Level 1 refereeing course qualifies you to referee school and club rugby matches – as well as joining your local referee society.
