Ryan Grant

Ryan Grant is one of few players to have represented three Scottish professional teams during his career, and has made himself very much at home in the Warriors front row, enjoying a storming debut campaign in the blue and black during season 2010/11 and following this up with another string of top displays in 2011/12.

The prop originally signed for the now defunct Border Reivers in 2005 before joining Edinburgh in 2007. Since signing for the Warriors in 2009, Ryan made his 100th appearance for Glasgow in the 13-6 win over Treviso in November 2015.

Grant's performances for the Warriors saw him win a long-term contract extension and a call-up to the Scotland squad for the summer 2012 tour of Australasia.

In 2013, Grant was called up for the British & Irish Lions tour of Australia which they won.

He was then called up to the 2015 World Cup squad, however missed out on the quarter final tie with Australia through injury.

Ryan previously served with the Royal Signals, and has also played for the Combined Services’ under-21 team. He scored the winning try for the Army in their 23-13 victory against the Royal Navy at Portsmouth in December 2005, a result that secured the Inter-Services Under-21 Championship for his team.

In addition to playing rugby, Ryan is also an PADI adventure diver.
