Sean Maitland

Sean Daniel Maitland joined the Warriors in the autumn of 2012 having built a reputation as a lethal finisher for Canterbury Crusaders since his debut in Super Rugby in 2008.

The 25-year-old won world titles with New Zealand under-19 and under-20 before committing to the country of his grandparents, both of whom were born in the city Maitland now calls home.

Born in Tokoroa on New Zealand's North Island, his cousin is the Australian stand-off Quade Cooper.

He endeared himself to Warriors fans when he scored his first try for the club in the second leg of the 1872 Cup tie at Murrayfield. He was soon called up to the Scotland squad and earned his first cap, scoring against England at Twickenham in the RBS 6 Nations in 2013
