Tom Ryder

Tom Ryder has forged a reputation as one of the most consistently impressive locks in the RaboDirect PRO12 since joining the Warriors in August 2010, initially on a loan deal from Saracens and then on a permanent basis.

Ryder's form saw him included in the 2011/12 RaboDirect PRO12 Dream Team, just reward for his hefty contribution to the Warriors' run to the tournament semi-finals. Four days after the play-offs, the second row was called up to the Scotland squad for the summer tour of Australasia.

Ryder moved to Saracens from the youth set-up at Leicester Tigers in 2005. After spending the opening three months of the 2008/09 season playing for Taranaki in the Air New Zealand Cup, he returned to the club to force his way back into the first team squad and was a regular right up until the moment the call came from the Warriors.
