3' Pat Lambie kicks the first penalty of the game into touch and South Africa have a line-out five metres from the Scotland line

4' TRY! Willem Alberts opens the scoring at Murrayfield with a well worked try. South Africa win the ball from the line-out and drive over the line to score in the corner

5' CON! Pat Lambie converts the try to make it 7-0 to South Africa

9' The Scots win a penalty well inside their half which Jackson kicks to touch just inside the visitors half but nothing comes of the line-out so it remains 7-0 to South Africa

16' MISS PEN! Pat Lambie misses a penalty for South Africa after Tommy Seymour was penalised for taking out Bryan Habana. Lambie's kick drifted just wide of the posts.

21' JP Pietersen skips several tackles to power into the Scotland 22 but Sean Lamont puts in a massive tackle to stop the flow of green and gold. A knock on follows and Scotland clear the danger.

25' South Africa win a penalty insde the Scots half but they opt to kick for touch rather than go for the points. They win a line-out in an identical position to where they scored the opening try. However, this time the Scots defend brilliantly and several phases later win a penalty which Jackson kicks to touch.

29' TRY! So cruel for the Scots! As they pile on the pressure inside the South Africa half a loose pasJohn Barclays from Jackson is intercepted by Willie le Roux who scores under the posts.

29' CON! Pat Lambie converts the easy conversion to make it 14-0

31' TRY! The try scorer turns provider as South Africa turn the screw. After a good break Willie le Roux puts a lovely chip through for Pietersen to get an easy try under the posts.

33' CON! Lambie converts once more to make it 21-0 to South Africa at Murrayfield and make it a miserable opening period for the Scots

35' As Scotland look for a score before the break they venture inside the South Africa 22 but the attack breaks down with a knock on and South Africa clear once more

39' Jackson kicks a penalty into touch five metres from the visitors line and following the line-out are awarded a scrum but the ball is thrown into touch and that's half-time.

40' Jackson gets the second-half underway at Murrayfield...

50' Still no scoring in the second half but both teams showing attcking intent. Seymour collects a long, wild pass at one end and then saves a try at the other by booting the ball out on his own try line!

52' TRY! South Africa get the first score of the second-half. From the line-out following Seymour's kick into touch South Africa win the ball cleanly and drive over to extend their lead. Replacement prop Coenie Oosthuizen gets the score for the visitors.

54' CON! Lambie adds the extras to make it 28-0 to South Africa

55' SUBS Scotland make three changes: Alasdair Dickinson is replaced by Ryan Grant, Ross Ford is replaced by Scott Lawson and Ruaridh Jackson is replaced by Duncan Weir
