Alan Bulloch Returns For Glasgow

Alan Bulloch will make his first appearance of the season for Glasgow when he plays in the Welsh/Scottish League match against Caerphilly at Hughenden on Friday. The Scotland centre missed the early weeks of Glasgow's season because of a knee injury, though he returned to action by playing for the Glasgow-Edinburgh Development XV in the victory over a Newcastle Falcons team at Dalziel three weeks ago.His fellow cap, Gordon McIlwham, also will make his first start of the season for Glasgow. The international prop, who returned to the professional team as a second-half replacement in the Heineken Cup match at Northampton on Sunday, had missed the start of the season because of a groin injury. However, like Bulloch, he played in the development XV against Newcastle.Roland Reid, who had bruised ribs in the Northampton game, has been retained in the Glasgow pack, though moving from blind side to No.8. He makes up the back row with Jason White, who has switched from his international role at lock to blind side, and Gareth Flockhart. Two other Glasgow flankers, Donnie Macfadyen and Gordon Simpson, are still recovering from injury, and Jon Petrie, the regular No.8, was not considered because of a face knock in the Northampton match.Kick-off at Hughenden on Friday will be at 7.30pm.
