Glasgow Thanks To Core Support

David Jordan, Glasgow Rugby's chief executive, has thanked those fans who are travelling to Galway for the Celtic League quarter-final match against Connacht on Saturday 1 December. The supporters" package put together by the chief executive and his management team has been over-subscribed, with about 70 supporters accompanying the Glasgow team to Galway."Our fans have been tremendous," the chief executive said today. "It's a costly time of year, with Christmas approaching, but we"ve sold out the ticket package that we offered when we qualified. We are now in the enviable position of having a core support who travel to see us play. That means a lot to the players, and I know that they"ll be encouraged by the amount of support that they"ll receive on Saturday."Glasgow's package included flights, accommodation and transfers at competitive rates. Although the packages are sold out, match tickets are still available from the Glasgow Rugby office on 0141-353 3468.If Glasgow beat Connacht on Saturday they will be travelling again for a semi-final the following weekend - perhaps back in Ireland. Glasgow would play the winners of Friday evening's quarter-final between Leinster and Newport at Donnybrook. That semi-final will be played in the country of whoever wins that quarter-final.David Jordan, Glasgow Rugby's chief executive, has thanked those fans who are travelling to Galway for the Celtic League quarter-final match against Connacht on Saturday 1 December.
