Jon Petrie Returns For Glasgow

Jon Petrie is back at No.8 for Glasgow in the Welsh/Scottish League match against Caerphilly at Virginia Park on Saturday. It will be his first game since a severe leg gash while he was playing for Scotland against Argentina at Murrayfield five weeks ago.However, his fellow cap, Jon Steel, will miss the Caerphilly game because of a shoulder knock.Four changes in personnel have been made in the team beaten by Leinster in the Celtic League semi-final at Lansdowne Road two weeks ago. Alan Bulloch takes over from Steel on the right wing, Jon Stuart will be at inside centre instead of Andy Henderson, Graeme Beveridge starts in place of Andy Nicol at scrum half, and in a recast back row, with Gordon Simpson dropping out, Reid switches to blind side to allow Petrie to resume at No.8.Nicol and Simpson, however, are among the replacements, as is David Hilton, who returns to the squad after a knee operation. Gordon Bulloch will lead the team in Nicol's absence. Henderson is rested.Kick-off at Caerphilly will be at 2.30pm.
