Kenny Sinclair In Glasgow Xv

Kenny Sinclair, Glasgow Hawks" scrum half, will make his first start for Glasgow Rugby tomorrow evening. Glasgow need him for the Welsh/Scottish League match against Newport at Hughenden because Graeme Beveridge has joined his fellow professional scrum halves, Andy Nicol and Chris Black, on the injury list.Sinclair has been on the replacements" bench for three of Glasgow's past five matches, making substitute appearances in two of them and scoring a try in the most recent game, when Cardiff won at Hughenden two days ago.Beveridge injured a knee in that Cardiff match, as did Cameron Blades, Glasgow's Australian international prop. Richie Dixon, Glasgow's head coach, expects Blades to be fit for the final league match - against Swansea at Hughenden a week tomorrow. However, Beveridge is unlikely to be ready for that game. Blades's fellow prop, Lee Harrison, damaged ribs in the Cardiff match, and he, too, will miss tomorrow's game.In all, Glasgow have made eight changes from the team who started against Cardiff on Tuesday - James McLaren and Jon Stuart for Alan Bulloch and Andrew Henderson at centre, Calvin Howarth and Sinclair for Tommy Hayes and Beveridge at half-back, Gordon Simpson for Roland Reid as blind-side flanker, Colin Stewart for Guy Perrett at lock, David Hilton and Gordon McIlwham for Blades as props. McLaren, Howarth, and Hilton, like Sinclair, played as substitutes against Cardiff.Reid is among the replacements for tomorrow, though now in his favoured position as a wing, the role in which he won two caps in this season's autumn internationals. Glasgow's substitutes include also Andrew Kelly, Ayr's Scotland Under-21 international tight head, who is needed because of the Blades and Harrison injuries.Tomorrow's match will kick off at 7.30pm.
