Glasgow Boosts Clubs

Players with Glasgow Rugby are being allocated to clubs in BT Premiership Divisions 1 and 2 for the forthcoming season, regardless of their experience in the professional game.Last season only first year professionals were subject to drafting but, following meetings between pro-teams, BT Premiership Divisions 1 and 2 clubs and SRU officials, clubs have agreed that all pro-team players should be allocated to a club. A maximum of two can play for a club in any match when they are not on pro-team duty.SRU Domestic Game Manager John Thorburn said: "We have allocated players as much as possible on the basis of their club of origin or a club with which they have a strong connection."I"m delighted that clubs have bought into the principle that, regardless of the time served in the professional game, pro-players should be given the opportunity to play domestic rugby."Glasgow Rugby professional players allocated to clubs in BT Premiership Divisions 1 and 2Joe Beardshaw - Glasgow Hutchesons" AloysiansGraeme Beveridge - PeeblesAlan Bulloch - Glasgow Hutchesons" AloysiansGordon Bulloch - West of ScotlandPaul Dearlove - Glasgow Hutchesons" AloysiansSimon Gunn - KirkcaldyAndrew Hall - Dundee High School FPLee Harrison - AyrAndrew Henderson - Glasgow HawksCalvin Howarth - BoroughmuirAndrew Kelly - AyrRory Kerr - West of ScotlandSean Lamont - Dundee High School FPDonnie Macfadyen - GrangemouthRory McKay - Aberdeen Grammar School FPGareth McClure - KirkcaldyCameron Mather - WatsoniansGlenn Metcalfe - Glasgow HawksDavid Millard - Aberdeen Grammar School FPStuart Moffat - CurrieGraeme Morrison - Glasgow HawksEuan Murray - Glasgow Hutchesons" AloysiansJoe Naufahu - Stirling CountyDan Parks - Glasgow HawksJon Petrie - Dundee High School FPSam Pinder - Glasgow Hutchesons" AloysiansMatt Proudfoot - KirkcaldyRoland Reid - Stirling CountyNathan Ross - Aberdeen Grammar School FPKenny Sinclair - AyrJon Steel - AyrAndrew Wilson - Aberdeen Grammar School FPPlayers with Glasgow Rugby are being allocated to clubs in BT Premiership Divisions 1 and 2 for the forthcoming season, regardless of their experience in the professional game.Last season only first year professionals were subject to drafting but, following meetings between pro-teams, BT Premiership Divisions 1 and 2 clubs and SRU officials, clubs have agreed that all pro-team players should be allocated to a club.
