Maclure To Face Former Colleagues

Gareth Maclure, Glasgow's recent recruit from Newcastle Falcons, will have an early game against his former colleagues. Glasgow have chosen the 23-year-old to start on the right wing in the warm-up match against Newcastle tomorrow at Hughenden.Maclure was among 10 debutants in the game that Glasgow lost to Gloucester by 12-28 at Kingsholm on Thursday last week. So were six others chosen to start against Newcastle - Graeme Morrison, Sean Lamont, Paul Dearlove, Cameron Mather, Matt Proudfoot, and Simon Gunn.Another of Glasgow's summer singings, Sam Pinder, will make his debut tomorrow. The Scottish-qualified scrum half from New Zealand travelled with the squad to Gloucester last week, but he did not play in that match because of a slight leg strain.Glasgow replacements tomorrow will be drawn from all others in the squad apart from Chris Birchall, Alan Brown, Mark McMillan, and the half-dozen in the Scotland's World Cup group.
