Kenny Logan Introduced As Glasgow'S Latest Recruit

Glasgow introduced Kenny Logan today as the latest recruit for next season. The former Scotland wing has returned to Glasgow after a career with London Wasps in the Premiership.Logan is expected to play his part not only on the field but also to help on the marketing side. He revealed today that he agreed to join Glasgow only after he had spoken with Phil Anderton, the SRU chief executive, about the union's plans for franchising the professional teams."Franchising is an exciting idea and is the way forward for us. I"ve been saying it for some time, but it's definitely the sort of thing I'd like to get involved in," Logan said. "I had the chance to sign on again at Wasps in a playing and marketing capacity, but I spoke with other internationals who have retired and it was felt that you have to have a challenge to keep playing when your Test days are behind you, and that was what I was looking for."Glasgow have named a squad of 33, including Logan and Kevin Tkachuk, the Canadian international prop and Oxford blue, as well as six apprentice-contract players.
