Head coach Steve Bates said: “This game is an opportunity for us to finish the competition on a winning note.
”We’ve learnt a tremendous amount from the Heineken Cup and I’m sure this weekend will be no different.”
Centre Nick De Luca has recovered sufficiently from an ankle injury whilst Dougie Flockhart gets the nod on the left wing replacing Brendon Daniel who suffered a severe hamstring tear during Sunday’s game.
In the pack, National Academy (Borders) prop Ryan Grant will rub shoulders with experienced international front-rowers Steve Scott and Bruce Douglas.
John Dalziel makes the switch from flanker to lock, joining Opeta Palepoi in the second row.
Ross Ford and Ed Kalman feature on the bench along with stand-off Steve Jones and Garry Law and are joined by Richie Vernon and Roddy Grant who were part of the Scotland 7s squad for the opening two tournaments of the IRB Sevens World Series in Dubai (UAE) and George (South Africa).

Four Senior National Academy (Borders) players make the trip to Italy to gain Heineken Cup experience in the Border Reivers’ final Heineken Cup match against Overmach Parma at the weekend.
Prop Ryan Grant gets a start alongside blindside flanker Scott Newlands, while openside Roddy Grant joins No.8 Richie Vernon on the bench for Sunday’s match.
It’s cup action on the domestic front which sees Melrose on the road to RHC. In the Melrose squad is Junior Academy winger Callum Anderson.
Hawick travel to Garnock with centre Graham Hogg in the side along with Junior National Academy players Nicky Little and Rory Hutton. Gala travel to Lenzie with centre Lee Kibble in their line-up.
Meanwhile, as part of his recovery from a hamstring injury, Scotland 7s captain Scott Forrest will join Hawick 2nd XV this weekend for the visit of Peebles 2nd XV as he seeks more game time ahead of the next two events on the IRB Sevens World Series in Wellington, New Zealand and San Diego, USA.
It’s knock-out stage for Hawick Wanderers, with Junior National Academy prop Gavin Cameron in their squad, in the Youth League Cup at Goldenacre where they will meet Howe of Fife. Back-rower Ross Gibson gets some senior action for Hawick 2nds against Peebles 2nds.
