Scots 7S Land In Wellington

The Scotland 7s team landed in Auckland today before heading onto Wellington for the third event in the IRB Sevens World Series. On their way to the other side of the world, the Scotland 7s squad filled in a two-hour stopover at Hong Kong International Airport with a game of touch rugby at Gate 41.

Captaining the squad is Border Reivers and Hawick no. 8 Scott Forrest whose team has been bolstered by the added experience of Scotland A winger Thom Evans, Border Reivers scrum-half Calum Cusiter and Glasgow Warriors winger Colin Shaw.

In their first outing in this year's tournament, the Scotland 7s team will complete a trio of games against England as the Scotland U20 team and the senior Scotland side are all in actions against the Auld Enemy this weekend.

The Scotland 7s team will return home on 2-3 June when the final leg of the IRB Sevens World Series comes to Scotland for the Emirates Airline Edinburgh Sevens - 2007.
