Scotland 7s 0, Samoa 7s 34
Scotland dropped out of the Cup quarter final at the USA Sevens today with a 34-0 loss to Samoa.

Head coach Stephen Gemmell commented: "We keep showing these top teams far too much respect. We need to work on our self belief in order to be competitive against these sides." Scotland will now face Australia in the plate semi-final.

Scotland 7s 17, Australia 7s 7
Scotland 7s recorded another fantastic win in USA today by beating Australia in the plate semi-final.

After the game, head coach Stephen Gemmell said: "It is a fantastic result and the boys had desire and accuracy in everything they did.

"We now have the chance to finish fifth or sixth which is the best any Scotland 7s side has done in a long time." Scotland's scores ame from Colin Shaw, Mark Robertson and Mike Adamson. Adamson converted one attempt.

Scotland 7s 19, South Africa 7s 28
Scotland were beaten by South Africa 7s in the plate final after the Boks sealed the victory with a late try in the second half. Head coach Stephen Gemmell said: "We came so close to achieving something today that we've never achieved before."

IRB Sevens World Series
The Scotland 7s team will return home on 2-3 June when the final leg of the IRB Sevens World Series comes to Scotland for the Emirates Airline Edinburgh Sevens - 2007.
