Carnoustie Rugby Club are delighted to have the support of the Carnoustie Golf Links Management Committee in being able to offer golfers in the rugby community the unique chance to play in our own competition on the famous Championship Course.

An invitation is extended to all rugby clubs in Scotland to have two golfers enter the competition for individual and team prizes.

The day will commence with coffee and bacon rolls at Carnoustie Rugby Club, only a stone’s throw from the first tee. Matches will be played in foursomes and each four will have a Scottish Rugby celebrity as one of the participants. On return to the rugby club, a three-course afternoon meal will be provided and prizes awarded to the successful (and not so successful) participants.

The competition is being arranged as a major fundraiser for the Angus Rugby Development Group (comprising Carnoustie, Montrose, Strathmore and Arbroath rugby clubs) whose aim is to provide a Rugby Development Officer for the county.

There is a limit of 24 teams of two being able to participate so allocation of places will be on a first come, first served basis. The day will cost each competitor only ?£100, which is fantastic value for the opportunity to play at Carnoustie in our very own competition.

Entry forms can be obtained via email from Bill Bowles at wfbowles@blueyonder.co.uk or by telephone on 07932 749 463
