Murrayfield Wanderers, Watsonians and Glasgow University captured the silverware in the Women's Cup, Plate and Bowl Finals at Murrayfield today.In today??™s Women??™s Cup Final Murrayfield Wanderers emerged triumphant from a clash with their perennial capital rivals, RHC.
Wanderers tries came from captain Lucy Millard (2), Charlotte Radcliffe and Lynsey Harley. Harley also landed two conversions.
RHC replied through a try by Louise Dalgleish and a penalty by Claire Fergusson.
Millard, the Murrayfield Wanderers' captain was presented by the Sarah Beaney Memorial Cup.
In the Plate final played earlier on the Murrayfield back pitches Watsonians took the honours with a 24-5 success against GHA.
The Capital girls scored tries through stand-off Emma Evans, left-wing Gemma Ryde, full-back Alex Pratt and sub Anna Panayotopoulous. Fellow sub Sandra Bell kicked two conversions.
GHA??™s try was notched by flanker Laura Laing.
Earlier in the Bowl Final, Glasgow University held off a late fightback from Melrose to win 12-5.
The students scored first through a try by Becca Parker, converted by centre Alison Cook. Cook weighed in with their second try before Melrose stand-off Kirsty Cook pulled back a late try.
