More than 1700 tickets for Scotland's August Test matches against Ireland and South Africa were sold within six hours of the public sale beginning today.
Tickets for the matches, part of the Bank of Scotland Corporate August Tests, cost £10, £20 or £30 for adults and £5, £10 and £15 for under-18s, students and OAPs.
The games at Murrayfield are v Ireland on Saturday 11 August (kick-off 2.30pm) and v South Africa on Saturday 25 August (kick-off 5pm).
In response to feedback from loyal supporters, those who back these matches will be rewarded with automatic entry into a ballot for the right to buy tickets for Scotland's Calcutta Cup contest with England at Murrayfield in the 2008 RBS 6 Nations Championship.
In the recent past Scottish Rugby has been able to offer a limited number of Scotland v England tickets for public sale. But for the 2008 game no public sale is planned.
All 15,000 tickets for the Scotland v England game at Murrayfield on Saturday 8 March that are available after allocation to Scotland's rugby clubs, debenture holders and other priority stakeholder groups, will be used to reward those who have supported the Scotland team at a vital time ahead of the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
