Scotland flanker Jason White is embarking on the next stage of his recovery to be ready in time for this autumn’s Rugby World Cup.
And supporters can read all about the challenges White faces over the next few weeks in an exclusive column on a new Rugby World Cup microsite.
In his blog White, who is targeting the Bank of Scotland Corporate August Tests to make his comeback from a knee injury he sustained last November, wrote: “Fitness is going well. I’m running, even doing changes of direction, which is good considering it’s only five months since I underwent reconstructive surgery on my right knee.
"At present, I've got the chance to focus on improving my agility and changing direction at speed. When you're out injured for a prolonged period you do re-examine your game a wee bit. I suppose folk reckon my game is quite confrontational - it’s about the power battle - but this situation gives me the chance to add something different to my repertoire.”
White also reflects on his forthcoming marriage to his fiancé, Beverley.
The microsite enables supporters to keep up to date with team and venue news; has details on tickets, travel and fixtures; and has all the insight into Scotland’s opponents, tournament rules and history. In short, it’s a one-stop shop for anything about Scotland’s involvement in the competition.
