Scotland"s preparations for the August Tests and the forthcoming Rugby World Cup step up a gear tonight. The squad are taking part in an internal ten-a-side tournament in St Andrews, part of Scottish Rugby's Scrum in the Sun.
The tens tournament takes place at St Andrews University's Carnegie Park, St Leonard's Road from 6-8pm and supporters are welcome to come along.
Scotland head coach Frank Hadden said: "We're splitting the squad up into three teams and the games will be played full-contact, 12 minutes each way.
"The tens tournament is a key part of our preparation and along with fellow coaches George Graham and Alan Tait, I'll be monitoring form and fitness ahead of selection for our match against Ireland a week on Saturday."
After the tournament the squad will be mixing with a number of invited guests - those from the local rugby community and sponsors - at a barbecue.
