Hogg said: "Obviously I"m very pleased with the appointment. He has been there and done it in the game of rugby.

"He has a fantastic resume. All of the Edinburgh players in the Scotland squad are looking forward to meeting with him when we get back from the World Cup.
_
"I"m sure I"ll learn lots from working with him and that Edinburgh will go places. There are plenty of reasons to be excited ahead of our Heineken Cup matches."
_
After last weekend's heroic victory over Italy, Hogg is now bracing himself for the challenge posed by Argentina with a semi-final place at stake.
_
But even though Argentina knocked much-fancied Ireland out of the tournament last weekend, Hogg remains confident Scotland can upset the odds and secure a spot in the last-four.
_
Hogg said: 'they played very well against Ireland, but we are pretty confident and are looking forward to the game.
_
"We feel we know how we are going to attack, how they will attack and how we can counter them."
