Andrew Maxwell scooped the award for best moustache at the first-ever Edinburgh Rugby Club Movember ceremony staged at the Murrayfield Hotel on Wednesday afternoon.
With the team set to depart for Belfast to face Ulster on Thursday afternoon, Andy Robinson and his squad gathered to applaud some first class facial furniture.
Irish winger Andrew "Bill the Butcher" Maxwell followed up his stunning try against Scarlets by landing the top gong and also winning the "creativity" category at a packed Murrayfield Hotel Bar.
Meanwhile, prop Geoff "Motorhead" Cross won best "handlebar" and scrum-half Ben Meyer (pictured with Simon "Golden Creep" Cross) was awarded best "exotic" for his effort.
Physio Graham Curlewis, who individually raised _130, won the management award while Ryan Grant and Ben Cairns jointly won the 'schoolboy" award for worst moustache.
The finalists were judged by assistant coach Rob "Viper" Moffatt and former interim head coach Henry "King 'tache" Edwards.
On a serious note, over _1300 was raised for two charities; Prostate Cancer UK and Sick Kids and club captain Cross, dressed in authentic mo" wear, said: "Firstly we would like to thank Festival Inns for helping with the awards and staging the evening.
"Congratulations to Geoff Cross, Ben Meyer and Andrew Maxwell for winning the various categories. It was a great evening and if it takes us looking like idiots in order to raise over _1,000 for two very worthy causes then that is what we will continue to do."
Now the players can look forward to a future of fuzz-free top lips, but the rumours coming out of Murrayfield suggest that some of the men from The Castle may decide to keep their facial hair.
Meyer said: "We would like to thank everyone who supported the campaign. It has been tough and has caused a few problems at home with our wives, but it was worth it in the end " now where is my razor!"
