Ford: We Will Get Even Better

Ross Ford has revealed the secret behind Edinburgh's return to winning ways ahead of tonight's Magners League match at Ulster (kick off 7.30pm) " attention to detail.

The Scotland hooker enjoyed his first victory since joining the club after the World Cup when the men from The Castle defeated Llanelli Scarlets on Sunday.

Now the 23-year-old front rower believes Edinburgh will get better when the team irons out the errors in their overall performance and learn to close games off.

Ford said: 'the coaches have kept saying about how it is small things that shape a game and lead to turning points.

"I think we have all realised that and looking at the video of the Scarlets game there were still points when we could have closed the game off earlier._

"We now know where we went wrong and where we went right and how we can improve.

"Even though we won, the hunger is still definitely there. Getting that win was like getting a monkey off our backs, so now it is about taking that confidence into games.

"We realise that we need to start finishing off the breaks we made. We made four or five breaks and finished two of them off.

"If we can convert that into five out of five then we are definitely in with a shout in every game. It is just a case of taking that confidence through to the next game and then doubling it."
